Traveling Together

I’ve been around the globe more times than I can count. There’s just something about travel. Once you have experienced the sights, sounds, colors, and textures of a foreign land, an addiction is formed that is hard to shake.

In my line of work, one often has to explore destinations alone. Although pictures are wonderful to share and can help reflect on the time, having a spouse, friend, or loved one alongside to capture the moments makes the adventure worthwhile.

I love taking my kids to New York City. Seeing their faces light up when they see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree or the awe in their eyes when they look up at the Empire State Building leaves an impression in my mind that will last a lifetime. The same goes when I see two ladies meet for the first time who have been Instagram friends for years. Or I see a super shy introvert brought to tears of joy when she gets to hug her influencer crafty hero. These thoughts and more are etched into my memory bank. They are what gives me the extra drive to bring an event to life. It’s all about the experience and sharing it with others.

In our present-day, stay-at-home, predicament, the only way to have these adventures together is online. I’ve been thinking of ways we can still connect in unique ways. Listed on the shop page, you’ll find the first annual Quarantine Destash Bash Virtual Cruise. I hope to make this an annual event, without the “quarantine” part. I hear from many people who can’t physically travel and want to be part of a Crafty Destinations event. I’m hoping to create even more online adventures to connect to our community in the future.

If you are able to travel and want to get in on a crafty retreat or global adventure, be sure to check out the shop page. Spots are still available for Crafting Abroad with The Reset Girl Japan 2021. Later this month I’ll be opening registration for two Glamping Retreats in Spring 2021. There will also be two more opportunities to go Glamping next year, one in the Summer and one in the Fall so be sure to sign up for my mailing list to be the first to know all of the details.
